Application of measuring equipment with radiation detectors in NSC KIPT

Imitation research of radiation protective properties of materials using linac electrons

The properties of different materials intended for radiation protection of space vehicles were investigated with the use of CdZnTe detectors.

Imitation research of radiation protective properties of materials using proton beams

Research of absorbing ability of materials for attenuation of γ-radiation from reference OSGI-sources

Instrumentation was developed, which key feature was the fixation of the relative unambiguous geometric position of its elements: of an irradiation source, of a sample, and of a detector of gamma-radiation. The device allows measuring the absorbing ability of samples with different thickness using reference gamma-ray sources from nuclides 241Am, 137Cs, 60Co, 133Ba, 152Eu.

Research of protective performances of various composite material under electron irradiation

A technique of imitative tests of metal and composite materials for determination of their protective properties under β-radiation from 90Sr+90Y source was developed.

The technique, besides the prize in time, is simple and inexpensive, compared to experiments in space or at accelerator.

Research of spatial and energy distributions of high energy Bremsstrahlung with CdZnTe detectors

Registration of intensive gamma and electron radiation with CVD diamond detectors at linac LU-10

Coordinate-sensitive diamond detector

A multichannel strip diamond detector of electron- and gamma-radiation was developed for a precision measurement of the electron beam profile at the escape of accelerator. The intrastrip resistance and uniformity of electrophysical and radiation performances of the detector were investigated.

Bulk and surface leakage currents and peak height spectra are measured for different ways of connection to a recording equipment (single strip, a group of strips). [I.N.Shlyakhov et al.]
