SCIENTIFIC-RESEARCHING
LABORATORY OF PHYSICAL BASE
OF DEVELOPMENT OF BERYLLIUM MATERIALS
GOALS AND TASKS OF THE
LABORATORY:
Investigation of
physical origin of plastic flow and failure of light metals and alloys;
Development of new methods of
plasticization of metals and alloys used in nuclear technique and medicine;
Development of new
methods of intense deformation of materials;
Development of new materials with high
strength and plasticity (beryllium, magnesium and others);
Study of interaction of
mechanical characteristics and structural factors;
Development of new methods of study of
plastic deformation and failure of metals and alloys including acoustic
emission, fracture toughness, impact strength with the separation of work of
deformation and work of fracture;
Development of new hard
magnetic materials;
Production and investigation of
materials for accumulation of hydrogen.
