Alexander Illich Akhiezer

The 1st International Conference “Quantum Electrodynamics and Statistical Physics”
(QEDSP2001) was held on Oct. 30 — Nov. 03, 2001 at the National Science Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology”, Kharkov, Ukraine.

The Conference was dedicated to the memory of A. I. Akhiezer, outstanding physicist, academician of NAS of Ukraine and the founder of the Institute for Theoretical Physics at NSC KIPT, named after him.

The 2nd International Conference “Quantum Electrodynamics and Statistical Physics”
(QEDSP2006) was held at the National Science Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology”, Kharkov, Ukraine on Sept. 19—23, 2006.

The present 3rd Conference will commemorate the centennial of A. I. Akhiezer.
