This Workshop is a continuation of All-Union workshops on Charged Particle Linear Accelerators held through 1973-1995 in Kharkov (odd year count) and the XV International Workshop on Charged Particle Linear Accelerators (September 15-21, 1997, Alushta, the Crimea).

This Workshop was held at the hotel “Dubna” (Alushta, Crimea, Ukraine) in September 6-12, 1999.

The main purpose of this International Workshop was to bring together the active scientific community to discuss the current problems and prospects for electron and heavy particle accelerators. The Workshop Scientific Program covered the following subjects:

  1. Status of the existing accelerators and new accelerator projects

  2. Beam dynamics and formation in linear accelerators

  3. Accelerator components, accelerating structures, RF-systems

  4. Beam diagnostics and parametric control, precision beamlet production, accelerator operation automated control

  5. High-current pulsed accelerators

  6. Novel and advanced acceleration techniques

  7. Beam applications.

Reported contributions were published at No.3 (No.3, Table of Contents) and No.4 (No.4, Table of Contents) of the new physical journal "PROBLEMS OF ATOMIC SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY", which is published now by National Science Centre “Kharkov Institute of Physics & Technology”.
